About Radical Eats

What makes Radical Eats so Radical?

We cook with fresh vegetables. Americans don’t get enough these days and we’re out to change that. The politics are against us, with the meat and dairy lobbies working hard to ensure that we eat as much meat and dairy as possible – no matter what the research says.

We get fresh, local and delicious food inside your body.

Whether we cater your next event, satisfy your cravings at our restaurantdeliver great food to your door or just give you some great veggie recipe ideas – we’re in this for the long haul.

One day our whole food loving ways won’t be such a radical idea, but until then we will buck the system by making affordable, convenient and yummy foods, without animals, hydrogenated fats or preservatives.

Meet Staci Davis, the head rock star of Radical Eats

Staci Davis owner of vegetarian Radical Eats

Owner and chef Staci Davis started cooking professionally when she was sixteen at Kerby Lane Café in Austin, Texas. She then went on to work for four years at the legendary Basil’s in Austin, making fresh pasta by hand and creating specials and soups for the day.

Staci began specializing in vegetarian food in the late eighties after moving to Houston and working for BFD Productions catering for all of the vegetarian rock stars that came to town under their promotion – including the Psychedelic Furs, 10,000 Maniacs, Love and Rockets, the Ministry and many more.

After battling cancer in 1997, Staci became much more interested in the link between health and nutrition.  After extensive research kept linking healthy living with a plant based diet her interest in vegetarian and vegan food grew. After reading study after study that linked proper nutrition, adequate fiber, antioxidants and low animal protein to optimal health, she slowly began switching to a vegan diet.

Along the way,  Staci catered other gatherings for presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich, Daniel Ellsberg, the Bioneers Convention and the Pacifica National Board to name a few.  She has also taught vegan cooking classes at Janice Blue’s Casa Azul and at Whole Foods Market.
